Febrile Fits due to Fever in Children

Febrile fits can be triggered due to fever in children between the ages of one and four. This happens when there is a significant temperature rise in the the body of the toddler. Febrile seizures or convulsions may happen in young children if the fever gets too high. During these fits, the child may lose consciousness, his whole body shaking uncontrollably with arms moving by the sides.

Without full and correct information on febrile fits, it can be frightening for parents and guardians of the children in witnessing these seizures, and without knowledge, the child may be unknowingly harmed in the ignorance.
