Vitamin C Deficiency May Cause Scurvy

Vitamin C is a requisite part of any antioxidant program. If you don’t get any vitamin C, you’ll come down with scurvy, which causes weakness, anemia, spongy gums and bleeding from the mucous membranes, formation of liver spots on the skin, which are most abundant on the thighs and legs, and a person with the ailment looks pale, feels depressed and is partially immobilized. In advanced scurvy, there are open suppurating wounds, loss of teeth and eventually, death.
