Embrace Life !!!

(This blog is dedicated to a few of my good friends going through some tough times and heartache. Just know that you are not alone....)

When things go wrong as they sometimes do, we can take control, raise our standards, decide to improve ourselves, take ourselves to the next level... be the best that we can ever be... and there will be no regrets.

We cannot control bad things from happening to us, but we can control how we manage the situation.

I take responsibility for my life and for my actions.

I cannot control the guy from walking out of my life, but I have control over my own thoughts and actions. I reframe this painful incident, give it a good meaning, and made it into a springboard to the next level of success. I cannot make somebody love me, but I can make myself lovable.

I shift my focus to what's going right in my life. I choose to take notice and appreciate the people in my life, taking care not to take my family for granted, making special effort to spend time together, creating special memories. I am more caring to the people who are always there for me through the storms of life.

I cannot control some people from treating me badly, but I can choose not to stoop to that low level and execute revenge. Instead, I leave them in the hands of God. I have learnt to discern between people who are trustworthy, and those who are not. I have learnt wisdom and courage to step away from disfunctional relationships.

I have no control over the life and death of the people I love, what I can do is to cherish and honour them in this lifetime, and thereafter, the memory forever in my heart, and because of that undying love, I become a stronger person, a more loving person, a compassionate person. With an understanding that life is fragile, I choose to be happy in every moment.

I appreciate life, and I take better care of myself, choosing a healthy lifestyle.

The past is only a memory, it cannot be changed. The future is only a hope.

Today is the best day of your life!!
