It was almost dawn, when Rachel and Dawn arrived at Sue's place. It had been a long day, and all were exhausted. Rachel had whipped up a hot hearty meal of tomato spaghetti, sprinkled with plenty of mushrooms, onions and oysters, as she knew that it was Dawn's favourite.
.
After a scruptious meal, we flopped onto the sofa with huge cushions, brain dead, watching some lame attempt of a Chinese concert on TV. Female bonding time... each had gone through heartaches of different kinds... relationships, loss of loved one, jobs....
.
It is through the uniting of hearts in friendship, the knowledge that we are there for each other in love, support, understanding, encouragement and prayer, that we have the faith, strength and courage to look forward.
As we bade each other good night and switched off the lights, we knew in our hearts that when the world crashes in on us, we unite as a candle in the darkness... a glimmer of hope, a light to the world.
